Spring Break part II

I figured if I didn't write this soon, I'd forget everything. The evening following the balloon ride, we all went to  Finley's Pub. Steve, Jen, Katelyn, Tyler, Ed, Cher and I, we love their fish and chips. The best this side of the pond. They really do have good Pub Grub.
On Friday we needed more seafood! so we went to PJ's which is in Madeira Beach. They have a fabulous menu of the freshest seafood. It is always jam packed and just to show I'm not always Pollyanna. The chairs have wrought iron backs, a "lady" at the next table scooted her chair back, and clanged mine, it really jarred my back. I mistakenly said, "ouch". She then got in my face and said in a venomous tone, "I said I was sorry." and I told her I was sorry I said "ouch". If I wasn't a Quaker I would have popped her up the side of her head. Just kidding.
 outside PJ's.

Saturday we just chilled. Which reminds me due to the cold temperatures we skipped the annual ritual of getting Mother into the pool. Cher gets into the pool and pushes a float to the edge of the steps, and I try to get in without getting wet. They really should take a video, I hate the cold water, but once I'm on the float and drifting in the sunshine, I love it. Even Cher didn't get in the pool this year.
On Easter Sunday we went to Ed's brothers house on the water, his Mom's birthday was on the 25th so we celebrated Tina's 80 birthday. It was a lovely time with all of Tina's children and grandchildren.

Tina wanted me to be in the picture with her. I wish I knew what we were saying. We always have such a good time together. Below is Tina with the grand children.

This is Juliet with the deviled eggs Tori made to look like Peeps for Easter. They were so cute I hated to spoil them, but they sure tasted good.

Where did the time go, on Monday Cher went back to school, she is a wonderful teacher, and a couple of years back was awarded Teacher of the Year at Osceola Middle School. On Tuesday I decided to take a walk to the nearest shopping plaza. It was a long walk but I enjoyed it. My cell phone rang and it was Cher. She told me she had a surprise for me, she talked to a school counselor about my visit, and she was told to take Weds. off. Yea! so for my last day of Spring break we are going to the beach.
We went to John's Pass Boardwalk, I love it. So many gift shops and quaint boutiques, and of course last chance for me to indulge in seafood. We walked along the water front and checked out all the menus, we went into the Boardwalk Express, it looks like a shack, but, on the menu they had Lobster rolls. Now I love lobster, so that's what we ordered. The roll was basically a hot dog roll, it was buttered and toasted and tasted like no other hot dog roll I've ever tasted. It was piled high with chunks of lobster, they call it knuckle meat. It was like having two lobster tails. Yummo! The wait staff were wonderful, we took a picture of them, and in our delight in chowing down on the lobster rolls we forgot to take a picture of them. Cher does a blog on restaurants.
This was for Phillip, I took a video of a girl rolling the cigar but I couldn't get it on to my computer.

Our final dinner was at one Cher and Ed's favorite restaurants. It's a five star restaurant. I felt so pampered, but I had to pick with the waiter. He said he enjoyed us because he came from a family that loved to pick. So hopefully he enjoyed waiting on us, as much as we enjoyed his excellent service.

I think I'm starting to look tired in this one. Next day it was off to the airport. Once again I got patted down. The t-shirt I had on had some sequins, tip for travelers, the screen machine doesn't like glitter. Next time I write I'm going back to 1956 the year we arrived in Canada.
