Spring Break 2012

I closed out my first part of this episode, so now part 2 will be first to be read. Y'all know I am never very organised. Last year I got to watch my grandson Eric race, it's unbelievable how fast those guys pedal.
Cher's birthday is in March so I get to celebrate with her. We went to a fabulous restaurant called Ocean Prime. The food was out of this world, and I found out so was one of the waiters? It's a long story, but Ed brought Jerry back to our table for a photo op.

this picture is Cher and Ed my two favorite love birds, at Ocean Prime.
Now my son Steve lives in Florida too, we went out to Finley's Pub and had some really great English food, love, love, love their fish and chips. Of course I can't find that picture, and if I go searching I will probably lose all this? Steve for sure you will be in the 2013 Spring Break blog.
One last picture out of sequence but we go there every year, for great seafood.

Spring Break Memories

Only four weeks to Spring Break. I am not sure if it's true but I claim to be the "oldest Springbreaker." For several years now I have spent time with my eldest daughter Cher, who is a teacher, while she is on her break. So many great memories this could get very long. Cher and Ed are such wonderful hosts, and they always plan some event for me.
One of the things we did in 2009 was go to a British tea room and have High Tea. Tina Ed's Mom came with us, she and I are "soul sisters" we have so many things in common. One that always makes us smile, is remembering how early in our careers we were switch board operator, when they had the plugs and cables.

In 2010 we went to Epcot, I love to go to the UK there, it's like a visit home.

Cher visits the Mad Hatter
This was a jam packed visit,
We also spent a weekend at a Dude ranch. I remember wishing there were more dudes and fewer horses. I have never had any luck at horse riding. It was fun to wake up in the morning and look out at the beautiful view, there were buffalo roaming just like in the movies.

One of the most memorable events, was going to the show Cavallia. It was like the Cirque du Soleil with horses. It was breathtaking. Ed treated us to the best seats in the house.
2011 I got to dress up as royalty. We went to a Renaissance Fair. Ed and Cher were Prince Edward and Princess Cher, I was Lady Patricia of Tower Glen. First we were greeted by the Royal Family. For some reason the King seemed to favor me. The Queen quickly pointed out that when we held hands his palm rested on the back of my hand, as palm to palm was too intimate. Well! whoop de do I should have said, "off with her head."

Of course I spotted two very handsome courtiers (love that rock 'n roll hair.

one more picture from 2011, one of my favorites Tina's Birthday.

Seeing as I'm having technical difficulties, but also learning new things. I will close and get to 2012 later. I have visions of all my friends now fast asleep.....zzzzzzzz
